About Borovets

v  Borovets is the biggest first class Bulgarian ski resort, located  at 1350 m altitude in the highest (peaking at almost 3000 m of altitude) Bulgarian mountain – Rila and only 70 km away from the capital of Sofia. The total length of the ski slopes is more than 45 km. They are grouped in 3 areas with different degrees of difficulty. The slopes are constantly maintained in a perfect conidition and have multilingual marking. During the summer season the resort is a wonderful place for mountain hiking. The resort has a big number of hotels and facilities providing all the necessary services for a perfect vacation.

v  Super Borovets project has been started for the expansion of the ski resort. The project involves construction of new lifts (including new gondola lift), additional ski runs, golf course, etc. The estimated cost is about 300 millions leva (about 150 million EURO) from the investors and another 150 million leva to be invested by the government in infrastructure, like roads for example. Also, Borovets would be one of the Bulgarian candidates for the Winter Olympic Games.
