About Samokov Area

v    Samokov area is the area is that includes the town of Samokov, the neighbouring villages and Borovets ski resort. It is located in the Southwestern part of the country, only 60 km away from the capital of Sofia. The total population of the area is about 45000 people. The advantages of being very near to Borovets ski resort (only 10 km away) and to the biggest Bulgarian artificial lake “Iskar” (15 km away), give to Samokov area unique future development prospects, that are even increased with the expected development of the Super Borovets Project.
